Healthcare startup MobiDent received Pre-Series A investment from New York-based DanGold Investment Corp.
Spreading awareness about preventive dental care and offering home services at affordable costs are the primary goals of founders Dr. Devaiah Mapangada and Vivek Madappa. They have devised a foldable chair which can be carried around in a compact kit thereby earning the name “Dental care in a suitcase”. Currently its operations are active in Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Pune and Mysore. Till date they have served over 50,000 patients and with the fresh investment, they’re looking to expand to metros and mini metros.
MobiDent has trained graduates and novice dentists to take dental services to people’s homes, specially the poor. The efforts to become a thought as well as a market leader in dental care are clearly evident from the engagement of several NGOs. Center of Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship realises the intrinsic potential of its business model from its performance in two years and has invested in MobiDent in 2016.
